Milano, 16th January  2010

· Summary

The Conference on Natural Family Planning was organised by the Centro CAMEN Milano and took place in Milano, in the S. Maria Nascente theater, QT8 on January. The event, that started at 09.00 and closed to 18.30 (see agenda in encl. 1), was attended by more than 159 participants from Italy and Switzerland, including delegates of 11 associations/organisations and a number of other people interested and/or active in this sector.

· Report of the Works.

Dr. Riccardo Piccolo (Presidente Fondazione C.A.Me.N.) welcomed the participants and introduced the subject of the conference. The organisations and associations participating to the works were shortly presented by their representatives listed here below:

Key note speeches were then held by Dott. Michele Barbato of IEEF - Institut Européen d'Education Familiale, Prof. don Josè Noriega of the Istituto Giovanni Paolo II Università Lateranense – Roma and Dott.sa Elena Giacchi of the Confederazione Italiana Centri RNF.

After lunch the works continued in 5 separate work groups (WG) to list the activities now in progress, identify and discuss the main problems that are being encountered in the field and list and discuss the principal strategies/proposals/projects now envisaged by the different organisations/associations.

The participants then resumed for the closing plenary to listen to the reports of the outcome of the 5 WGs.

Dott. Michele Barbato of IEEF and Prof. don Josè Noriega of the Istituto Giovanni Paolo II Università Lateranense – Roma, finally draw some conclusions and closed the works at 18.30
